This series consists of a list of surveys on file in the St. Stephen's Land Office, 1845 Dec. 9. These surveys were probably ordered due to investigations of private land claims. Each entry includes the name of the claimant, the location of the land, the certificate number, and the total number of acres. These records illustrate the the difficulty in determining ownership of public lands.
